About Sipp'n Bliss

Sipp’n Bliss was founded by high school student Analie Greenwood, inspired by a deeply personal journey that brought her back to Japan through her grandmother, who relocated to the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka. What began as a visit soon became something more meaningful, an opportunity to reconnect with family, culture, and craft in a way that felt both natural and aligned.

Through this experience, Analie formed a direct relationship with a small, family-operated tea farm located just minutes from her grandmother’s home. What initially felt like coincidence revealed itself as a genuine partnership rooted in shared values of care, intention, and respect for tradition.

Sipp’n Bliss was created to offer more than a product. It is an experience grounded in connection and purpose, bringing people closer to the origin of what they’re enjoying while honoring the land, the process, and the hands behind it.

Our Matcha

Our matcha is sourced from the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, Japan, where mountains meet the sea beneath the quiet presence of Mount Fuji. Grown in mineral-rich soil and nourished by exceptionally pure water flowing from the mountain, the tea reflects a landscape shaped by balance, clarity, and time.

The farm is located in a region uniquely suited for tea cultivation. Elevated terrain creates natural temperature shifts between morning and evening, enhancing depth of flavor, while rocky soil allows for excellent drainage. The basin-like geography encourages the formation of gentle mist, providing natural shading that protects and supports the tea plants as they grow.

For over 30 years, the farm has cultivated tea without the use of pesticides. Soil health is maintained through a sustainable, circular approach, using fully matured compost from local dairy farms along with natural and regional materials to enrich the land.

Shaped by both mountain and coastal influences, the farm incorporates locally sourced organic matter and sea-derived nutrients to support the vitality of the soil.

Matcha Farm Practice

Rooted in a philosophy of coexistence with nature, every harvest reflects a deep commitment to quality, sustainability, and craftsmanship, resulting in matcha that is both expressive of its origin and thoughtfully made with intention.
